Mistakes happen. Here's the log.
We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix the article and post the fix here — what was wrong, what it is now, when we changed it, and who flagged it. No silent edits. If you spot a mistake, email [email protected].
01 How a correction works
- Typos and grammar: fixed quietly, no log entry.
- Anything substantive (wrong number, wrong claim, wrong attribution, outdated platform status): article gets a visible "Corrected on [date]" notice + entry in this log.
- Major errors (we got the core thesis of an article wrong): article gets a banner at the top, full retraction or rewrite, log entry, and a follow-up article explaining the mistake.
We never delete an original mistake from the live article without explanation. The old wording stays visible (struck through or quoted), the new wording is added below, and the timestamp is recorded.

Article: I Spent 500 Hours on Random Adult Omegle in 2026
What changed: Article subtitle said "500 hours" but actual logged session time was 487 hours (writer rounded up). We updated the article to read "nearly 500 hours" and added a footnote with the exact figure. Reader was right that rounding without disclosure was sloppy.

2024-12-15 Retraction
Article: (redacted — see retraction notice below)
What changed: Article reviewed a platform that we subsequently discovered was operating in violation of EU age verification rules and had had a data breach 6 weeks earlier (we missed the public CERT advisory). Article fully retracted on 2024-12-15. Replacement explainer published 2025-01-08 covering what we missed and how we updated our methodology to catch this kind of issue in future.
